Fluke Maintenance Best Practices Seminar

The current economic conditions are putting tremendous cost pressures on companies and maintenance professionals. With manpower and capacity reduced to an absolute minimum, it will be more difficult to recover from an unscheduled down time.  With the widespread of more critical equipment and processes across the entire plants, maintenance professionals need rugged and easy to use portable test tools to help them discover symptoms that can reveal improper installation and operation of their electrical distribution systems, mechanical & rotating equipment, and processes.

This is also the time to explore opportunities in improving energy utilization throughout the operation. Eliminating unnecessary energy wastage will help the company's bottom line. Since building and HVAC system constitute the biggest consumption of energy, test tools are needed to tune the HVAC system to achieve an optimum balance between energy efficiency and comforts of the occupants. In addition, building defects in the form of insulation and water damages, moisture & mold infestation can cause a fortune to repair if they are not discovered and rectified at an early stage.

Seminar Overview

  • Infrared Thermography and applications
  • Guideline on acceptable limits for electrical, power quality, thermal and indoor air quality parameters
  • Energy efficiency program and equipment check list
  • "How to" monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
  • New Products Overview & Demonstration

The first part of the seminar will focus on infrared thermography and test tools which enable every critical equipment and facilities to be inspected without affecting the operations. This approach ensures early detection of any impending failures so that there are sufficient warning and adequate time for the maintenance team to react.

The second part of the seminar covers energy management program which aims at continuous improvement in energy efficiency and costs. We shall share with you maintenance best practices and equipment check list which have resulted in double digit saving of electricity usage. The systematic approach and proper measurement procedures ensure the saving does not compromise the comfort of building occupants and long term equipment reliability.
